The Site aims to present, promote, and sell the creations of the Julaï brand, as well as provide editorial and visual content related to the Maison's universe.

2. Access, Availability & Security

Availability: We strive to ensure continuous access to the Site. Interruptions (maintenance, updates, technical incidents) may occur at any time, without liability for Maison Julai.

Technical requirements: recent equipment, an up-to-date browser, and a stable internet connection are recommended. Connection and equipment costs are the user's responsibility.

Security: we implement reasonable technical and organizational measures (access control, encryption in transit, monitoring) to protect the Site. As the internet is not a fully secure environment, the user acknowledges the inherent risks (intrusion, viruses, data loss).

3. Intellectual Property & Trademarks

All elements of the Site (texts, images, videos, sounds, graphics, logos, trademarks, design, architecture, databases, source and object codes) are protected by intellectual property rights and remain the exclusive property of Maison Julai or its duly authorized partners.

• Prohibitions: any reproduction, representation, adaptation, translation, extraction, distribution, or reuse, in whole or in part, by any means whatsoever, without prior written authorization, is prohibited.
• Trademarks & distinctive signs: trademarks and logos, including Julaï, are protected; any unauthorized use may constitute infringement.
• Limited license: access to the Site grants a non-exclusive, revocable, non-transferable license for strictly personal and non-commercial use.

4. Content, UGC & Prohibited Conduct

Maison content: information and visuals are indicative and may change without notice. Accuracy, completeness, and updates are sought but not guaranteed.

UGC (user-generated content): if the Site allows reviews or comments, the user guarantees that their content is lawful, non-infringing, non-defamatory, and respects third-party rights. The user grants Maison Julai a non-exclusive, worldwide, free license to host, moderate, and publish such content as part of the Site.

Prohibited conduct: any action likely to disrupt the Site (intensive scraping, intrusion, bypassing technical measures, abusive automated use, malware distribution, phishing) is prohibited and may be subject to legal action.

5. Hyperlinks & Third-Party Sites

The Site may provide links to third-party sites. Maison Julai has no control over such external resources and disclaims all responsibility for their content, availability, security, or policies. Access to these sites is at the user's sole risk.

6. Liability & Warranties

• Limitation: Maison Julai shall not be liable for indirect damages (loss of opportunity, data loss, commercial prejudice) resulting from use of the Site.
• Accuracy: information is provided "as is" without warranty of accuracy, completeness, or suitability for a particular purpose.
• Force majeure: no failure shall incur liability in case of irresistible, unforeseeable, and external events (disasters, health crises, massive outages, third-party acts, labor disputes, administrative decisions).

7. Anti-Counterfeiting & Brand Protection

Maison Julai actively protects its creations and distinctive signs. Any counterfeiting, imitation, or unauthorized resale will result in civil and/or criminal actions, including withdrawal requests, seizures, damages, and judicial publication.

8. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

This legal notice is governed by French law. In the absence of an amicable resolution, disputes fall under the jurisdiction of the competent courts in France, subject to mandatory provisions possibly applicable to consumers.

Privacy Policy (GDPR)

This policy describes how Maison Julai, as data controller, collects, uses, shares and protects personal data processed through the use of the Site MaisonJulai.com. It complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR – Regulation (EU) 2016/679) and the French Data Protection Act (Law No. 78-17 of 6 January 1978, as amended).

1. What categories of data do we collect?

• Identity data: name, surname, title, postal and email address, phone number.
• Transaction data: order history, invoices, delivery information, payment method (excluding full banking data, handled by certified PSPs).
• Hall of First inscription data: the name chosen by the customer for their inscription on the Stele and on the Site (see section 8).
• Maison Register: name of the first acquirer of each numbered piece and the piece number (see section 8.8).
• Browsing data: IP address, browser, device, browsing path, session identifiers.
• Preference data: wishlists, product interactions, language, geolocation (if accepted).
• Exchange data: messages sent via the contact form, customer service, emails.

We do not collect "sensitive" data within the meaning of the GDPR.

2. For what purposes do we use your data?

• Order management (performance of the contract): purchase, payment, delivery, after-sales service, Hall of First inscription.
• Customer relationship: follow-up, personalized advice, satisfaction surveys.
• Marketing & communication (with your consent where required): newsletters, product launches, invitations to private events.
• Legal obligations: accounting, archiving, tax, anti-fraud, anti-money laundering.
• Security (legitimate interest): intrusion prevention, fraud detection, site protection.
• Maison Register (legitimate interest): authenticity and historical archive of numbered pieces.

3. With whom do we share your data?

• Internal teams: strictly limited to persons authorized by their function.
• Service providers: website hosting (Hostinger), logistics, carriers, payment providers, Stele engraving workshop, marketing tools.
• Authorities: only in case of legal obligation or judicial request.

We never sell your personal data.

4. Cookies & trackers

We use cookies necessary for the operation of the Site and, with your consent, audience measurement and personalization cookies:

• Necessary: session, security, cart.
• Audience measurement (consent): aggregated statistics (page views, browsing paths, time spent).
• Personalization (consent): recommendations, saved preferences.

You may configure your preferences through your browser. Refusal may limit certain functions. Non-essential cookies have a maximum lifetime of 13 months.

5. Data transfers

Data may be transferred outside the European Economic Area (EEA) when strictly necessary, subject to adequate safeguards (European Commission adequacy decision, Standard Contractual Clauses, or equivalent guarantees).

6. Retention periods

• Customer account data: as long as the account is active, then 3 years after the last activity.
• Order data: duration necessary for management and legal obligations (10 years maximum for accounting).
• Hall of First inscription: on the physical Stele, for the entire lifetime of the Stele; on the Site, until the customer requests its removal (see section 8).
• Maison Register: for the entire lifetime of the Register, for authentication and historical archive purposes.
• Prospect data: 3 years from last contact.
• Cookies: maximum 13 months.

7. Your rights

In accordance with the GDPR, you have the following rights:

• Right of access, rectification, and deletion of your data.
• Right to object to processing, especially marketing.
• Right to restrict processing and to data portability.
• Right to withdraw your consent at any time (for processing based on consent).
• Right to set guidelines regarding the fate of your data after your death.
• Right to lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, the Commission Nationale de l'Informatique et des Libertés (CNIL), 3 place de Fontenoy, TSA 80715, 75334 Paris Cedex 07, France – www.cnil.fr, or with the supervisory authority of your country of residence.

8. The "Hall of First": Engraving on the Stele, Publication Authorization and Image Rights

8.1. Purpose and number of places

The first one hundred (100) accepted orders of the "Be Different Bi-Color" piece, all variants combined (twenty (20) numbered pieces per variant), entitle the customer to be inscribed in the Maison Julai Hall of First. This inscription includes:

• the listing of the customer's name on the permanent Hall of First page of the Site;
• the engraving of this name on the monumental steel artefact known as "the Stele".

Places are allocated in the chronological order of order acceptance and are strictly limited to one hundred (100). Each person may hold only one place; an additional order is only possible if placed in the name of another person, as a gift. The inscription is included in the price of the piece at no extra cost.

8.2. Choice and approval of the inscription

When ordering, the customer chooses the format of their inscription: first name and initial of the last name, or first name and last name. The inscription must correspond to the customer's real identity, or to that of the person receiving the piece as a gift; in the latter case, the customer guarantees that they have obtained that person's consent. The holder of the inscription must be of legal age.

Before any engraving, Maison Julai sends the customer the exact text of their inscription by email for approval. The customer is solely responsible for the accuracy of the text they approve; once approved, no changes can be made.

Maison Julai reserves the right to refuse any inscription that is contrary to public order or decency, infringes the rights of a third party, or does not correspond to a real identity. In that case, the customer may propose another inscription or cancel their order and receive a full refund.

8.3. Inscription and engraving schedule

• On the Site: the customer's name appears on the Hall of First page as soon as their order is accepted.
• On the Stele: at the customer's express request, made when ordering, engraving takes place no earlier than the fifteenth (15^th) day following the acceptance of their order, according to the Maison's schedule, without waiting for the delivery of the piece. No engraving takes place before this period.

This request does not deprive the customer of their right of withdrawal regarding the piece, under the conditions set out in the General Terms and Conditions of Sale. In the event of withdrawal, the customer is fully refunded; their name is removed from the Site and, if already engraved, it is made illegible on the original Stele and will be reproduced neither on the definitive Stele nor on its replicas. The place thus vacated remains a nameless mark in the steel.

8.4. Nature of the Stele and permanence of the engraving

The original Stele is made of raw steel. It is designed to patinate and oxidize over time; this evolution is an intended characteristic of the work and does not constitute a defect. Maison Julai may exhibit the original Stele as an artefact and create a definitive Stele in other materials (including marble or granite), on which the names of the pioneers who kept their place will be reproduced.

The customer also authorizes Maison Julai to reproduce their inscription, by engraving or any other process, on replicas of the Stele installed in its present and future boutiques, or in any exhibition venue of the Maison, in France and abroad.

The customer acknowledges and accepts that, once engraved, their inscription can no longer be modified. This permanence is an essential characteristic of the Hall of First, which the customer expressly accepts when placing their order.

The inscription on the Site, however, may be removed at any time upon request to contact@maisonjulai.com.

8.5. Authorization to publish

The customer authorizes Maison Julai, free of charge, to photograph, film, exhibit, reproduce and publish the original Stele, the definitive Stele, their replicas and reproductions, and the Hall of First page, as they bear the customer's inscription, for the purpose of presenting the Stele, the Hall of First and the history of the Maison. This authorization applies worldwide, for the entire lifetime of the Steles, and on all media, including:

• Digital media: the Maison's website, current and future social networks (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X, LinkedIn, etc.), newsletters, mobile applications and virtual exhibition spaces;
• Traditional and audiovisual media: print press, television, cinema, streaming platforms, outdoor advertising, catalogues and art books of the Maison;
• Physical exhibitions: museums, art galleries, boutiques, trade fairs, pop-up stores and any promotional or cultural event where the Steles or their reproductions are shown to the public.

Maison Julai undertakes not to use the customer's name on its own to present them as an ambassador or attribute statements to them without their separate written consent. The publication of the inscription gives rise to no payment, royalty or compensation, the inscription being included in the price of the piece.

8.6. Ownership of the Steles

The Steles remain the exclusive property of Maison Julai, which freely decides where they are exhibited and kept. The inscription grants the customer no ownership rights over the Steles.

8.7. Exclusive touches for the first hundred

The pieces of the first one hundred (100) customers may receive exclusive finishes or attentions, at the discretion of Maison Julai, which do not alter the essential characteristics of the piece ordered.

8.8. The Maison Register

Each numbered piece is recorded in the Maison Register in the name of its first acquirer. This record is historical, personal and non-transferable. The piece belongs to whoever holds it: in the event of resale, the new holder becomes the owner of the piece, but does not become the holder of the Hall of First place, nor is recorded in the Register.

8.9. Legal basis and customer rights

The processing of the customer's name for the Hall of First is necessary for the performance of the contract they have entered into (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR); the keeping of the Maison Register is based on Maison Julai's legitimate interest in guaranteeing the authenticity and history of its pieces (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). The customer has the rights described in section 7; however, they acknowledge that modifying an inscription already engraved is technically impossible, as accepted under section 8.4.

9. Data protection

We implement technical and organizational measures appropriate to the risks (encryption in transit, restricted administrator accounts, access control, backups, security logging). However, no online system is infallible, and residual risks remain. In the event of an incident affecting personal data, we will apply the required notification procedures.

10. Minors

The Site is not intended for minors under 15 years of age. If data concerning a minor is collected without parental consent, we undertake to delete it upon request.

11. Third-party sites

The Site may contain links to third-party services over which we have no control. This policy does not apply to those third parties.

12. Policy changes

We may update this privacy policy at any time, in particular to comply with legislative or technological changes. The applicable version is the one published on the Site on the date of your browsing.

• Archiving: certain operational data may be archived for evidentiary purposes, in restricted-access environments.
• Evidence: system records and logs are authoritative (timestamping) in the event of a technical dispute, unless proven otherwise.
• Severability: if any provision is invalid, the others remain applicable. Any tolerance does not constitute a waiver.
