The real stele
Engraved in iron
The Hall of First exists first in metal. A raw iron stele, two meters by one, raised like a founding stone and conceived as a relic of the House. Each name is engraved on it by hand, the Founder's own, to last as long as the iron. This page is but its reflection: the same list, the same hundred names, carried from iron to screen without losing any of their order. To be here is to have arrived first. It does not fade.
